Gen Con!

So, I leave for Gen Con tomorrow. Lead designer, Lee Hammock will also be in attendance on Goblinworks’ dime. As you might know, my attendance was in some doubt due to medical issues. Fortunately, I resolved them, so I’ll be there, but I wasn’t able to set up any formal events. I was able to get into Games on Demand.

Games on Demand is an open-game event–basically a ginormous room with dozens of games going on. You just show up, look through the game menu, and request a game. I’m scheduled to be there:

  • Thursday, 10:00-2:00 and 4:00-6:00
  • Friday, 10:00-4:00
  • Saturday, 10:00-12:00

But I’ll probably be hanging around a lot there even when I’m not scheduled, and I’ll give them my cell number. We have a fun scenario for Gen Con this year, “Dead at Dawn”. If you want to play, just drop by and ask. Even if you don’t have time to play, feel free to say hello or ask me to see the gorgeous sample I’ll be toting around of Fate of Eos or the cool dry erase aspect cards or the custom Fate tokens. There are other GMs running Fate games too, including the new Atomic Robo RPG.

In general news, we are making great progress on the book. As I mentioned, we’ve pretty much finalized the layout and all of the background text. We are hammering out the last few tweaks to the rules, some of which I’ll be putting through their paces at Gen Con. I can’t wait to get this stuff out to you guys.
