Go For Launch!

Our Kickstarter project was a huge success! 884 backers and nearly triple our goal!

First things first, I want to thank some people: The DS crew, who put their time and effort into ensuring a successful run: Lee, Sean, RJ, and especially Danilo, who whipped up some amazing art assets at the drop of a hat. Speaking of hats, Evil Hat Productions, especially Fred Hicks and Chris Hanrahan, for providing us with some invaluable technical advice on running a Kickstarter. The Fate Core design team for building such a sound foundation from which we could launch. Kickstarter itself for, pardon the pun, changing the game for us publishers, and with special thanks to Luke Crane for lending an ear when we were ready to launch. And, of course, to our backers. Your support is so meaningful to us, it’s the fire in our fusion core reactor.

Now on to the business of actually building a game. Our scheduled release date for the book is April, 2014, but there’s a reasonable chance we will beat that mark. We’re off to a great start, and we will continue to show things off as we move along in the design process. Our chief mode of communication will shift from the Kickstarter page to this site and to our social media pages. We encourage you to engage with us as we move through the design process. Feel free to ask us questions or let us know your thoughts. After all, you are the reason we’re here in the first place.

Oh man, I didn’t even realize that this had even existed. I am actually quite disappointed in my lack of knowledge of it considering that I was here and bought all the previous Dawning Star books and even had the year subscription to the article system you had set up years ago.

Still, I am extremely pleased that you were successful in your quest to basically reboot and redevelop Dawning Star, it was always a mightly awesome setting and campaign and it deserved so much more! So thumbs up to you all for that and I wish I was able to be part of it. :)

Congratulations! We’re really glad the Kickstarter did so well. It is fun playing Dawning Star with my favorite system!

Hi there. Just missed out on the KS so couldn’t back. Do you have any plans to allow additional pledges through another medium (eg, your website)?

  • Victor Serrano says:

Sir! We will be waiting with open arms the finish product and all updates prior to that. Lets keep the journey fun!
